What is a PMA Care Package?

Have you ever wished you could lift someone’s spirits when diabetes feels overwhelming—when endless routines and emotional fatigue start to wear them down? At The DFC, we know how hard type 1 diabetes can be, both for those living with it and those who care for them. That’s why we created the PMA Care Package—a simple, powerful way to share positivity and remind others they’re not alone. Each package is thoughtfully packed with encouragement, practical tools, and heartfelt gifts designed to bring light into a nominees T1D journey. Whether you nominate a loved one or support the mission, your action creates real impact.

How does the program work?

Use the button below to nominate someone you care about—someone who could use a reminder that they are not alone on their T1D journey

Our PMA volunteers assemble care packages filled with helpful resources, fun gifts, and a dose of positivity.

We ship the packages directly to the nominee’s door.

PLEASE NOTE:

1. PMA Care Package is not intended for individuals who have been newly diagnosed. If you are seeking support for someone who is newly diagnosed, please contact The DFC to be connected with a Community Connector.
2. Packages are only available to recipients in North Carolina and nearby areas who meet the PMA Care Package criteria.
3. If your nominee does not meet the above criteria, you will be notified by email.
