Volunteer

Be part of a community that transforms life with diabetes!

At The Diabetes Family Connection, volunteers are the heart of everything we do. Whether you’re looking to connect, support, or inspire, we have meaningful ways for you to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals and families living with or affected by type 1 diabetes (T1D).

Every volunteer brings something unique to our community, and your time and talents can make a lasting difference. Whether you have a few hours a month or a full week to dedicate, there’s a place for you to share your heart, energy, and positivity.

Camp to Community Counselor or Support Counselor

Camp to Community is more than a day of activities—it’s a chance for kids and families living with T1D to feel understood, supported, and connected.

We’re looking for counseling staff to help create a safe, welcoming environment where campers can be themselves, build confidence, and connect with others who just get it. Whether you’re a mental health professional, a counselor-in-training, or someone with experience supporting children and families, your presence can make a meaningful difference.

Come share your skills, your heart, and your understanding—and help create a day where no one feels like they’re navigating T1D alone.
